ESK and Ceradyne were represented for the first time at the European Wind Energy Conference & Exhibition in Brussels. EWEC is one of the leading tradeshows for wind energy and wind power generators. Here, ESK presented EKagrip® shims and diamond-coated bushes.
Both products are used in wind power generators. ESK’s friction-enhancing shims can be used in flange connections and footing screw connections for transmitting high forces in a compact space. The diamond-coated bushes from ESK act as friction couplings to limit torque and protect the wind power generators against overloading.
The ESK’s products met with great interest. “The resonance was outstanding. We made many good contacts and received qualified enquiries,” enthused Martin Schweinberger of the Surface Engineering Business Team.
