ESK Successfully Recertifies for the Automotive Industry

ESK Ceramics GmbH & Co. KG has successfully renewed the certification of its quality management system to ISO TS 16949 in the field of surface engineering. This ESK business division primarily produces high-friction coatings on materials for the automotive industry.

“This year’s audit did not find any major or minor nonconformities with the standard, but only revealed improvement potential for process optimization.

The auditor responsible, Erwin Weber from DEKRA, particularly praised the very clear targets with systematic derivation and implementation of measures, the internal communications and documentation, and the staff’s openness and motivation.

The ISO TS certificate is more than just a quality seal for ESK: “It shows that we live and breathe our quality standards,” stresses Dr. Thomas Jüngling, President of the ESK Board of Management.
“We have made further progress in this field and positioned ourselves well, so that we will continue to be successful in this challenging market segment in future,” he continued.

ESK operates an integrated management system (IMS), which not only guarantees the high quality of its products but also contributes to efficient resource management and sustainability.

In addition to the official certifications, the QM department also performs internal and external audits several times per year.

You can find all ISO certificates for download in the info center at “Terms of business and certificates.”
