BORON NITRIDE (BN) SPRAYS AS RELEASE AGENTS IN LIGHT METAL AND NON-FERROUS CASTING
Separation of molten non-ferrous metals, such as aluminum, magnesium and zinc, from their substrate requires the use of a release coating. EKamold® boron nitride is ideal here because it is not wetted by the liquid metal. At the same time, EKamold® boron nitride sprays offer good adhesion to the substrate and thereby ensure a long service life. Since all boron nitride (BN) sprays have an alcohol base, they should not be applied in the vicinity of liquid metals.
